Well this event marked the debut of Black Betty's 3rd engine and the first engine rebuilt by Double-Apex, or our man in Oz Brian Kozan! This engine was built to last so the driver needs to make sure he doesn't break this one or else!
The week leading up to the event was busy as ever. The team worked endlessly to ensure we would make this weekends event. Working every night leading up to the weekend we had to get our blown motor out, all necessary parts swapped and the new motor installed and running before Saturday. Fortunately Brian did an awesome job putting together the engine and organizing everything, so we just had to take it step by step and execute our plan and it all worked out perfectly. The triumphs this team has earned this year go way beyond results on the track. Now that we are up and running again our season will continue as planned, so stay tuned for more! |
